Tokugawa Destroyer
design by Peter Gray
While I was hunting through my old design papers, I
found this little ship almost virtually complete. I
remember that I had intended it for Imperial service,
but its name seems to evoke more of the old Solomani
Confed Navy. If the armor seems to be a little
strange, its because, like many of my older designs,
it was based upon a HG style hull percentage.
The Tokugawa class Destroyer was the
standard medium sized escort ship utilised by the old
Solomani Confederacy Navy. First constructed in 1092
by a consortium of companies in the Near Bootes
Cluster, it quickly became a workhorse for many
Solomani DesRons. While of fairly conventional
construction, it was far more durable than many of its
Imperial contemporaries, and combined a hefty 12 GJ
N-PAW with robust laser and missle armament, and a
squadron of eight Paarma 20 ton fighters for screening
and reconaissance. Accomodation space is based upon
S&A, which permits a 20% cut to reflect the Solomani
indifference to crowding.
