Alexandraia Fast Merchant

he original Alexandraia Fast Merchant was a TL-14 j-2 and 2G vessel first put in service in the period just before the Rim War. The vessel proved so durable and popular with merchant crews, that it only seemed natural to put an updated version into service in the 1060s. By taking advantage of the compact TL-15 powerplants, its jump range was increased considerably, and the vessel became a mainstay of the Imperium's fast freight and courier services. The vessel also proved popular with the Imperial Navy, who used it as a fleet replenishment vessel, and the Scouts, who used it for a variety of roles including covert action and surveillance. In that role it usually drops cargo space to provide a docking ring for a 20-ton armed gig.

The ships distinctive bird like shape has been adapted for a number of other variants, including the Sabre Expediter.
