Fidelity Runabout

design by Peter Gray

The Fidelity Runabout is a Regency 1132 design, essentially a downsized Odyssey intended for dispatch and liason roles between RQS postings. Sometimes jokingly referred to as "4/5 of an arduous journey", the vessel nevertheless carries more cargo than her bigger sister, and is the preferred vessel for administrative roles and normal courier work. Most RQS stations have 2-6 of these vessels on constant standby, and it is distibuted to reserve personnel and contract owner-operators on a frequent basis. In TNE mustering out, scout and RQS characters may substitute this vessel for other 200 to 400 ton ships received. The Fidelity is almost identical in external appearance to the Odyssey, but deletes the variable geometry swept forward wings in favor of a more simpler straight delta wing instead. The fuselage is also more rounded than the angular Odyssey as well.
